Bio

Gavin Zhao is a junior at Great Neck North High where he is the captain of the school debate team. During the season in varsity public forum, Gavin was ranked top 40 in the country, quarterfinals at Columbia, Quarterfinals at Georgetown, and the #17 speaker at the Harvard National Tournament. Gavin is the first student in Great Neck to qualify for the Tournament of Champions earning three bids and an autoqualification to the state championships. Gavin is excited to help kids reach their full potential in debate this summer!

Bio

Kevin is a rising junior at Brooklyn Technical High School. He has been debating in Public Forum for well over four years now—two years on the national circuit, where he and Gavin were ranked 15/3800+ teams in junior varsity in 2025 and 38/3300+ teams in varsity in 2026. Needless to say, they were ranked as the top 1% in the nation, racking up awards such as top speaker trophies from Harvard and receiving bids from the Tournament of Champions. Debate has helped Kevin grow not only as a student but also as an intellect—teaching him skills ranging from public speaking to analytical research. Through Delta Speech and Debate and this summer, Kevin hopes to empower the next generation of debaters with the same tools that redefined his journey.

Bio

Tiffany Chen is a senior at Manhasset Secondary School where she is part of the newly founded debate team. Throughout her debating career, she was ranked first at the American Debate League Tri-State Championships for public speaking, placed second at the American Debate League Bronx Manhattan Borough Championships for teams, and accumulated over 50 hours in judging and delivering structured, constructive feedback to over 45 children in Elementary and Middle School. Tiffany is eager to provide meaningful guidance and feedback to students this summer!
