Delta Speech and Debate
Develop world-class argumentation, public speaking, and critical thinking skills with expert instructors in an immersive summer experience.
Our Mission

Speech and Debate is one of the most valuable activities a student can participate in and has been proven to transform students to think at higher levels. The activity requires students to engage in rigorous critical thinking as well as learning to visualize the world in new and different ways. Learning these skills gives students an advantage in school, college admissions, and permanently throughout life.
Delta Speech and Debate's main goal is to impact the lives of as many middle and high school students as possible by introducing and helping them succeed in Public Forum debate. Our structured curriculum lets any level of debater jump in and ride upstream to success.
Our philosophy comes from our name "Delta" which is a Greek letter that stands for change. In pursuit of our goal, we take pride in watching the change every student makes not only in debate, but as a person in general. By the end of your child's journey at Delta Speech and Debate, you'll be able to see the change they've made in becoming the best public speaker possible.

Curriculum Overview
Delta Speech and Debate uses a rigorous curriculum focused on Public Forum— argumentation, evidence, speaking, and strategy for competitive PF.

Public Forum Debate Basics
Structure rounds, weigh competing arguments, and use summaries and final focus to crystallize winning narratives—built on accessible, real-world issues.

Public Speaking
Develop clarity, pacing, and presence so every speech lands with purpose—whether opening a case, answering cross-ex, or delivering a closing appeal.

Argumentative Writing
Turn research into tight cases, blocks, and briefs: organized claims, cited evidence, and rebuttal-ready language you can adapt under pressure.

Logical Thinking
Trace warrants, compare frameworks, and stress-test reasoning so arguments hold up—spotting weak links before opponents do.

Productive Discourse
Practice structured disagreement: respectful cross-ex, efficient refutation, and norms that keep debate rigorous without turning combative.

Self Confidence
Build repeatable prep habits and performance routines so students trust their prep, recover from mistakes, and speak with conviction in high-stakes rounds.
Excellence Starts Here
Join a community of ambitious students who are developing the skills to lead, persuade, and succeed. Your journey toward excellence begins with a single step.
